Birthday cards

Good evening everyone.  What a rainy weekend we have had here in Oregon.  Makes me soo happy football season is over for my kids!  Here are 2 birthday cards I came up with for my upline and close friend Karen's recent birthday.
This first one uses one of the new in-colors Raspberry Ripple - I love this color!!  And one of my all time fav stamp sets Create a Cupcake.

I used Rich Razzleberry for this cute card.  The stamp is a retired one from a hostess set from last years catalog.  The ribbon is retired too which is such a bummer since I used this ribbon ALL the time.  The DSP is from the Brights Color Collection Designer Series Paper Stack which I need to use more often - it is a great collection of paper.

Christmas Card Class continued

Good morning everyone.  Was a beautiful weekend here in Oregon - I even got outside and did some yardwork which is not my favorite thing to do but had to take advantage of no rain.  Here are the final 2 cards we made at my last class.....
This one was a big hit with all the ladies for its simplicity I think.  The Fun Flowers bigz die is still one of my absolute favorite things to use on a card.  The ladies could choose whether to emboss the flowers with the Vintage Wallpaper or Snowburst (retired) embossing folders.  This sample photo doesn't have a glimmer brad but that's what they got to use and it certainly added some sparkle to the card.

The last project was an adorable cocoa packet.  I have seen so many different versions of this on the internet but I liked this one. I apologize I don't have the designers name handy - I will look for it an update my blog as soon as I find it.  I used Early Espresso and Gumball Green paper and Gumball Green and Cherry Cobbler ink for this project.  The stamps are from the mini catalog - Scentsational Season and framelit dies.  The DSP is from Be of Good Cheer.  I had some super skinny sticky strip so that is what we used on each edge of the Early Espresso to hold the packet together.  What a perfect little gift to give a friend, co-worker or teacher.

Christmas Card Class

Good morning!  Here are 3 of the cards we made at my recent Christmas Card Class.  I ended up having more ladies than ever attend - 16!! Thanks for coming ladies!
This first card uses Gumball green, Cherry cobbler, and Whisper White.  The Cherry cobbler dazzling details and red glimmer paper star both really made this card pop.  My mother actually chose this for her Christmas cards this year so I just finished making more than 50 for her - that was a lot of big shot work and my hands were a little cramped after all the dazzling detail dots on the tree. I got this idea from someone on Stampin Connection - sorry I don't know who.
This is a cute gift card holder using Cherry cobbler and DSP from the Be of Good Cheer pack.  The new Champagne glimmer paper really made this project into a "wow" project.  The greeting is from More Merry Messages.
This card was one of my favorites.  It has been awhile since I've used this layout and everyone really enjoyed it.  Midnight Muse has become one of my all time favorite colors.  It goes perfectly with the Crumb cake and silver embossing powder.  The stamps are from the Delightful Decorations set.  The snowflake was from a set out of last years Holiday mini called Bright Hopes. I really should emboss more often - it adds so much to a card.

October card class

Good afternoon from rainy Oregon!  I am soo bummed that the sun went away...going to be wet and windy for the kids football games tomorrow.  Oh well!  The following cards were what we made at my last class.
This card uses DSP from the Floral District pack which has become one of my all time favs.  I love the lucky limeade and tangerine tango together.  This card is so versatile - you can use just about any greeting on it or even leave it blank, The stamp is from the Flowering Flourishes set.
This card was the #1 fav at the class - everyone loved using the new in-color Midnight Muse.  The DSP is from the Comfort Cafe pack and the stamp is one of my most used sets - Mixed Bunch.
This one I've had for awhile but I pulled it out to use and it was a perfect fall card for the class.  You can use several different sentiments. The flower and acorn are from the Day of Gratitude set.  The colors of the flowers are Cajun Craze, More Mustard, and Soft Suede.
Used the Floral District DSP here too and it was perfect because since this paper is double sided - everyone could pick whichever side they wanted.  Majority used the baja breeze side but I like the card either way.  I like to give everyone choices since some gals are looking for all birthday, some want an assortment, and others need thank yous so I try to have several sentiments in each box for them to choose from.

All of these cards were CASe'd at some point of time and I apologize that I don't know who designed each of them.  Most likely they were all from our demonstrator site - Stampin' Connection.

Halloween gifts

Good afternoon everyone.  Here are some cute Halloween gift ideas.  This first one I CASe'd from Charlotte Hollingsworth at www.stampingismytherapy.blogspot.com.  My daughter absolutely LOVES candy corn so this was perfect for her to give her teachers.  The fancy favor box is sandwiched between two top note dies and a medium cello bag of candy corn is inside the box.
This adorable idea came from my fellow stampin' up demonstrator and friend Wendy Meinhardt.  I made a bunch of these for all the gals that came to my last class.  The top note die was embossed using the spider web folder and the stamp set is a hostess set  from the holiday mini called Mixed Medley.

And this final project was another one of Wendy's.  I don't have the Perfectly Preserved stamp or framelit set but I love what she did with it here.  She made those candy corns by layering different sizes of circles on top of each other and then cutting wedges out - how cute is that??

It's a beautiful fall day here in Oregon - let's hope it stays dry this weekend!

Wendy's card class

Hello there - it has been several months since I last posted - sorry about that!  Above are the 4 cards I made recently at my friend Wendy's card class.  It was so much fun to go to someone else's classes!  And I didn't have most of the stamp sets she used so that was even better.  The top card is my favorite.  I have been eyeballing that set since the catalog came out.  The second card with the witches boot was lots of fun to make.  And I loved using the new Champagne glimmer paper on the Thanksgiving card.  Think I should have borrowed someones stamp-a-ma-jig for the row of flowers on the last card but oh well.

For my sister who I really believe is one of the few to actually look at my blog - I promise to start posting pictures more often!

Hello everyone. I needed to make some baby thank you's and the first two are what I came up with. The third card I cased from off Stampin' Connection. I love this adorable set which is now retired. I borrowed it from my sister since I rarely have any need anymore for baby/young kids cards but I wish I had bought it when I had the chance - too cute! I used up some retired paper and ink - Blue Bayou - which worked out perfectly for a baby boy color.

Good morning! Another card with my favorite set Mixed Bunch. This card uses one of my favorite new In-Colors - Raspberry Ripple. The little leaves sizzlet was die cut using another new In-Color Gumball Green. The background piece of Raspberry Ripple was embossed using the Square Lattice embossing folder. The center of the flower was also stamped with another new In-Color - Primrose Petals. These colors all look amazing together and the new ink pads are INCREDIBLE!! The card was finished off with a rhinestone center and a greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes. This card was completely CASED from one of my favorite stampers to copy - Deb Currier at www.artfeltimpressions.blogspot.com. Check her out!

Hello there. Isn't this card cute? I used the colors Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry along with Whisper White. The flower is the Floral Fusion Sizzlit and I also used the polka dot embossing folder. I love that you can use almost any sentiment you want on this card. It's finished off with some old olive 1/8 taffeta ribbon. I am sorry but I can't remember who I cased this one from.

Mini Comp Notebooks

Hello there. These are some adorable mini comp notebooks I made for gifts to give all of the ladies who attended my last stamp class. The paper and brads are from the new Summer Smooches collection. The brads are no longer available but the paper is in the new catalog. The two colors are lucky limeade and tangerine tango.

This Mother's Day card uses Rich Razzleberry and Lucky Limeade. The DSP is called Summer Smooches and it will be in the new catalog.
This card uses Early Espresso and Melon Mambo. The stamp set is called Friendly Phrases.
This card is in Calypso Coral. I love this simple card because you can use any sentiment on it. The DSP is Berry Blossoms.
This is my new favorite card - I love the Poppy Parade butterflies on it. All of these cards were CASE'd off the Stampin Connection website. It has been so long that I don't remember who they were designed by - I apologize!

Fresh Vintage

Happy St. Patricks Day! Had fun making the kids green vanilla steamers this morning along with cinnamon rolls with green frosting - yum!
This is a card we are doing tomorrow at a stamp class. I love it because it is so clean and simple yet elegant too. And I love that you can use any color and ribbon you have on hand. I am letting the gals pick between cherry cobbler and lucky limeade with whisper white. These two colors really seem to pop on this card. The flower on the card is from the Fresh Vintage sale-a-bration set. The sentiment is from my favorite teeny tiny wishes set out of the catalog. Enjoy the day! This card was CASE'd from Dawn Olchefske.

Spring Bouquet

I made this cute bouquet today to put on the table at the stamp class I am having this weekend. Very easy to make! I used the new Mixed Bunch set and punch which are in the Occasions mini. I attached the flowers to some wood skewers I had and stuck them in a jar of jelly beans. The colors used on the flowers are So Saffron, Wild Wasabi, Perfect Plum, Marina Mist, and Rose Red.

Just Believe

Well what a gorgeous Sunday afternoon here in the Pacific NW! Nice to not have it gray and rainy outside. This is a card I copied right out of the Idea book and catalog on page 109. This set is called Just Believe and it is one of my favorites. I used Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, and Crumb cake cardstock. The butterflies were made using my Bigshot and the Beautiful wings Embosslits Die. I added the pearls in the center of the butterfly to give it a little pop. Just a nice card to have on hand that can be used for many different reasons. Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday!

Lucky Limeade square card

Good morning! It actually snowed a tad bit here.....but it will all be gone within the hour I'm sure. The kids have not had a single snow day this year. Oh well!
I love how this card turned out. I don't make 4 1/4 by 4 1/4 cards very often but I like how they look. I used paper from the Berry Blossoms DSP pack and mounted it on Lucky Limeade card stock. I also used a piece of Calypso Coral and ran it thru my Bigshot with the Lattice embossing folder. The flower on front is from the Hostess set Posy Punch. I finished it off with a Lucky Limeade brad from the In-color set. Hope you have a great day!

I Heart hearts

Good morning! This is my daughter's birthday invitation this year. I hadn't started it as an invitation but thought the colors and friend stamp were perfect for her invites so I added the "you're invited" stamp (non-SU)and they were done! The colors used are Melon Mambo, Bashful Blue, Lucky Limeade, and Wisteria Wonder. The DSP is from the Hostess set Cheerful Treat. The friend stamp is one of my favorite from the I Heart hearts set. I also ran the bashful blue cardstock thru my Bigshot using the polka dot embossing folder. I got the general idea off the Stampin Connection website.
Aren't these penguins adorable??? I am going to use the Melon Mambo one for my daughter's thank you cards and I sent the Bermuda Bay (retired SU color)one to my little nephew for his birthday. I cut out the whisper white cardstock with the top note die on my Big Shot and then used several different punches to make the rest of the penguin.

January card class #5

This is the final card from my last class. I wanted something simple and elegant looking that could be used for any occasion. I used the colors Elegant Eggplant and Wild Wasabi - love this combo! I used markers to ink the stamp - not something I do very often because it takes so much time but I love how it looks on this flower stamp from the set Just Believe. I don't think you can really see it in the photo but I used Crystal Effects on the flower petals to add some dimension and give it a lacquered look. The card was finished off with Elegant Eggplant 1/2 inch scallop dots ribbon.

January card class #4

Good afternoon. Here is another card from my last card class. This was CASe'd right out of the Stampin' Success magazine. I used a stamp set from last years Sale-a-bration catalog - Bliss. The colors used on the card are Lucky Limeade, Pool Party, and Early Espresso. The DSP is from the SAB catalog and is a great set of paper. The ribbon and butterfly brad are also from the SAB catalog. The sentiment is from my favorite set Teeny Tiny Wishes.

January Card Class #3

Good evening. Here is another card from my recent class. This card took a little time to make as everyone had to stamp and then punch out each heart. I used the colors Baja Breeze, Real Red, Certainly Celery and Pretty in Pink. The stamp is from the I hear hearts stamp set. We used some of the white bakers twine to go around the edges of the card. This idea came from the Idea book and catalog.

Stamp class #2

Hello everyone! Here is the second card we recently did at a card class. I used the stamp set Outlined Occasions from the SAB catalog as well as the heart stamp from the Take it to Heart set in the Occasions Mini. I love this card because it is a great one for Valentine's Day or you could use it for your anniversary. The Pretty in Pink patterned paper is from the Subtles Collection Patterns DSP Stack. I colored in the Love with a marker and then added 2 small rhinestone. I got this idea off Stampin' Connection.

January Card Class #1

Hello! It has been quite awhile since I last posted - things were crazy over the holidays and I have finally gotten back to stamping. I held a class last week and this was one of the cards. It features the Everyday Enchantment DSP out of the Sale-a-bration catalog. I paired it with the gorgeous Pool Party cardstock and ribbon. The flower is from a new set out of the Occasions mini called Mixed Bunch and I stamped that on Poppy Parade. The card was finished off with a pearl in the center of the flower as well as a strip of pearls underneath the greeting. I CASED this card off of Stampin' Connection website. Thanks for looking!
