Birthday cards

Good evening everyone.  What a rainy weekend we have had here in Oregon.  Makes me soo happy football season is over for my kids!  Here are 2 birthday cards I came up with for my upline and close friend Karen's recent birthday.
This first one uses one of the new in-colors Raspberry Ripple - I love this color!!  And one of my all time fav stamp sets Create a Cupcake.

I used Rich Razzleberry for this cute card.  The stamp is a retired one from a hostess set from last years catalog.  The ribbon is retired too which is such a bummer since I used this ribbon ALL the time.  The DSP is from the Brights Color Collection Designer Series Paper Stack which I need to use more often - it is a great collection of paper.

Christmas Card Class continued

Good morning everyone.  Was a beautiful weekend here in Oregon - I even got outside and did some yardwork which is not my favorite thing to do but had to take advantage of no rain.  Here are the final 2 cards we made at my last class.....
This one was a big hit with all the ladies for its simplicity I think.  The Fun Flowers bigz die is still one of my absolute favorite things to use on a card.  The ladies could choose whether to emboss the flowers with the Vintage Wallpaper or Snowburst (retired) embossing folders.  This sample photo doesn't have a glimmer brad but that's what they got to use and it certainly added some sparkle to the card.

The last project was an adorable cocoa packet.  I have seen so many different versions of this on the internet but I liked this one. I apologize I don't have the designers name handy - I will look for it an update my blog as soon as I find it.  I used Early Espresso and Gumball Green paper and Gumball Green and Cherry Cobbler ink for this project.  The stamps are from the mini catalog - Scentsational Season and framelit dies.  The DSP is from Be of Good Cheer.  I had some super skinny sticky strip so that is what we used on each edge of the Early Espresso to hold the packet together.  What a perfect little gift to give a friend, co-worker or teacher.
